Support the Mammoth Site

The Mammoth Site is truly a gift from nature; our inheritance held in trust for 26,000 years. We would diminish ourselves if we failed to perceive the historical and scientific value of this discovery. As a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, our preservation, education and research programs are primarily funded through admission and your donation.

Annual Giving

The Annual Fund represents unrestricted annual operating support from individuals and businesses. It provides important financial support above and beyond those funds derived from membership and admission fees.

Money from the Annual Fund is used where it is needed most – to supplement day-to-day operations. Your support allows us to advance our mission and broaden our reach beyond the local community.

Annual Fund donors are among the Mammoth Site’s most dedicated and important contributors, won’t you join this group today?

“A gift to last in perpetuity,” that is the intent of an endowment donation. Currently, the Mammoth Site has a General Endowment Fund with the annual investment return used for day-to-day operations. Creation of additional funds to support education, science/research, and staffing will be considered as funds and/or as donor interest allows. You can establish an endowed fund by making an outright gift, through a pledge payable over a number of years, or through a planned gift.

Make an endowment gift to the Mammoth Site and see your gift keep on giving!

Planned Giving

The future of the Mammoth Site is as important as the present. Help the Mammoth Site prepare for the future by making a planned gift or bequest. Planned gifts – annuities, charitable trusts, real estate, life insurance or naming of the Mammoth Site in your will – all assist the site in achieving our financial goals.

Creating a planned gift now allows you to experience the benefits for the Mammoth Site. Please consult your attorney or tax advisor.

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

Our Visitors Say It Best…

leaf“The Mammoth Site is not just a window into the past—it’s as close to being a true time machine as you’ll find, with some of the best ice-age fossils on the planet on permanent display.”
Ross MacPhee,
Division of Vertebrate Zoology,
American Museum of Natural History, New York City

leaf“The students examined fossil and non-fossil examples then made their own fossil imprints. The students had great fun and loved the activity.”
Savage Branch Library

leaf“We used the Kindergarten through 5th grade kits for an evening program and presentation. The parents were very impressed and the teachers loved the completeness of the lesson plans. They were easy to work with also during class time.”
